Farm Overview
A modern, progressive dairy farm operating a 270-cow spring-calving herd. The farm is well equipped with a 34-unit milking parlour fitted with ACR and focuses on efficient, high-standard milk production.
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and reliable milking assistant to work primarily in the milking parlour. The successful candidate must be capable of working independently when required and maintaining high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and milk quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Milking duties in a 34-unit parlour with ACR
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and milk quality
- Observing cow health and reporting any issues
- Adhering to farm procedures and health & safety standards
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Milking times: 6:30am and 3:00pm
- Weekends as needed
Candidate Requirements
- Prior dairy/parlour experience essential
- Proven ability to work alone and use initiative
- Good stock sense and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
