Full Time herd/ Farm Manager
170 cow Diary farm
It’s a spring calving, grass-based system with a young herd. (avg lactation of 1.4) of predominately Frisian & Jersey crossbred cows. Aim to have cows grazing from February to November. 60 HA milking platform with silage out blocks, simple system – cows and grass.
We have the following Facilities:
* 24 unit parlour with ACR’s
* Sense hub heat/health detection
* Modern handling facilities including herringbone and race crush.
* JFC automatic calf feeders
* Paddocks well fenced with Terra water system, Good roadway network
Main Duties, but not limited to:
* Milking
* Grassland management and productivity
* Farm maintenance and some machinery work but majority contracted.
* Animal health management
