A well-established dairy farm in Ireland, managing over 350 cows through a rotary parlour, is seeking an experienced and reliable Dairy Farm Worker to join their team full-time.
- Milking cows using the rotary parlour system
- Assisting with calving duties for a spring-calving herd, including monitoring and supporting cows during calving
- Calf rearing
- Feeding and managing livestock, ensuring their health and well-being
- Ensuring cleanliness of the milking parlour and farm facilities
- Assisting with general farm maintenance, including equipment checks and repairs
- Operating farm machinery (e.g., tractors, feeders, slurry tankers, etc.) – machinery experience is a bonus
- Helping with pasture management, including grazing rotation and feeding during periods of low grass availability
- Assisting with herd health management, including administering vaccinations, treatments, and liaising with the farm vet
- Keeping accurate records related to milk production, animal health, and farm activities

- Requirements:
- Proven experience in dairy farming, particularly with larger herds
- Experience milking in large herds is essential

- Machinery operation experience (e.g., tractors, slurry tankers, etc.) is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of herd management and calving processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
