Hoofcare Operator

Reporting To: Farm Service Team Lead
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Hoofcare Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will provide professional hoof trimming and hoof health services to dairy and beef farms, helping farmers improve animal welfare, mobility, and performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with livestock, travelling to farms, and building strong relationships with customers while delivering a high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine hoof trimming and corrective hoofcare on dairy and beef cattle.
- Assess hoof health and identify lameness issues.
- Apply treatment plans in line with animal welfare and industry standards.
- Work closely with farmers to provide advice on hoof health management.
- Follow all health, safety, biosecurity, and animal welfare procedures.
- Represent the company professionally on customer farms.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience working with cattle or livestock.
- Good animal handling skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule.
- Full clean driving licence.
- High attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare.
Desirable
- Previous hoof trimming or hoofcare experience.
- Agricultural qualification or relevant livestock background.
- Knowledge of dairy farming systems and lameness prevention.
