We were delighted to attend this year’s UCD Agriculture, Food Science & Human Nutrition Careers Day on February 22nd, 2023 along with FRS Recruitment.

The School of Agriculture, Food Science and Human Nutrition is home to numerous programmes, with 400 students to graduate this year. Once again, we sponsored the annual graduate handbook which was launched on the day and available to prospective employers.

The event has been a staple in our calendar for over 10 years, and it is a fantastic opportunity for us to meet the upcoming talented graduates, along with other industry professionals.

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue officially opened the University College Dublin (UCD) Agriculture, Food Science and Human Nutrition Careers Day with a keynote address to final year undergraduate students. Minister McConalogue stated: “As I look around here, I am absolutely confident that we are in safe hands as we face into one of the most exciting periods of agriculture and farming in our history. My final message to all of you as you move through your education and your careers, is that you should do so safe in the knowledge that you are in the greatest industry in the world.”

Well done to the organisers of the UCD Agriculture, Food Science & Human Nutrition Careers Day, another great event. We’re looking forward to 2024’s event.

Niall Dervan, FRS Farm Relief Manager (Parkmore) and Gerard Farrell, FRS Recruitment, attending the event.
