Céad míle fáilte to our first New Zealander to arrive since Covid.

We were delighted to welcome Hayley to Ireland as the first New Zealander to return to FRS to begin her exchange with us since Covid put a halt to our programme.

We collected Hayley from Dublin Airport after two long flights and the next day brought her through an induction programme in Roscrea where she got to meet some of our friendly staff. Her final leg was a journey to Cork to meet the farmer and the farm she will be working on during her time in Ireland.

Our FRS ‘Australia/New Zealand – Ireland Exchange’ programme offers candidates an invaluable experience to live and work on an Irish farm and the opportunity to learn about modern Irish agriculture. The programme allows for a great opportunity to explore the ‘Emerald Isle’ and use Ireland as a gateway to Europe.

The FRS ‘Australia/New Zealand – Ireland Exchange’ programme is designed for persons aged 18-35 who are eligible to apply for a working holiday visa for up to 12 months. Ideally applicants would have a minimum of one year dairy farm work and meet immigration requirements. For more information, go to: frsfarmreliefservices.ie/australia-ireland-exchange/

We look forward to welcoming more New Zealanders and Australians in the near future.

New Zealander Hayley with FRS Farm Relief Manager (Midleton), Graham Keane.
